Camille is a North American choreographer-dancer based in Madrid, Spain (since 2003) who has worked extensively at the forefront of contemporary dance; producing a steady stream of work acclaimed for its ecological and social commitment.
Her work has been performed throughout Spain, as well as in Italy, France, Israel, Mexico, Rwanda, and The U.S.A., and has won multiple awards and grants. She has been supported by leading cultural and environmental organizations such as, The Madrid City Council, Centro Coreografico Canal, Matadero Madrid, Conde Duque, and other institutions for representations abroad such as, The Bogliasco Foundation, Planet Earth Arts Foundation, Greenpeace, Advanced Leadership Foundation, DMG Foundation, UNESCO, and Scholas Occurrentes.
Hanson combines her creations with teaching and mentoring internationally. Camille carried out a three year graduate study at U.C.L.A., Los Angeles, CA. (2003), and received her BA at St. Olaf College, Minnesota (1991).
